26 teams for the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy
Twenty-six teams will be competing for the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy at the 24 Heures Motos. On Sunday, €30,000 worth of prize money will be shared out among the first fifteen Dunlop-shod privateers past the finish line.
The winner will pocket €5,000, while €4,200 will go to the runner-up and €3,700 to the second runner-up, with up to €700 awarded to the teams coming in 11th to 15th. With only the top 15 teams awarded prize money after the 24 Heures Motos, the battle will be hard fought.
The EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy – renewed this year by championship promoter Eurosport Events, Dunlop and the organizers of each of the FIM EWC 2016/2017 races – is open to all private teams. Participating teams must use tyres designed and supplied by Dunlop Motorsport at every single race.
