The Bol d’Or’s return to the sunny south of France lived up to its promise. The race got off to a fast and furious start before Team Kawasaki SRC settled into the lead.

After Sébastien Gimbert got the holeshot on the Honda Endurance Racing bike, Gregg Black tore away on the Junior Team LMS Suzuki for an exciting spell in the lead on the first lap. Gregory Leblanc then took the lead spot for Team Kawasaki SRC, just ahead of Vincent Philippe (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team), Freddy Foray (Honda Endurance Racing) and Broc Parkes (Monster Energy Yamaha YART)
The blistering pace made David Checa come a cropper and crash his GMT94 Yamaha bike. #94 returned to the track at the tail end of the standings, five laps behind the leader. Honda National Motos and BMW Motorrad France Team Penz13.com also had a tough race start, with mechanical problems. The BMW Motorrad France bike has since edged up to 20th place, one lap behind.
Louis Bulle returned pushing the National Motos bike, which has dropped to the bottom of the standings with a 14-lap delay.
Junior Team LMS Suzuki is holding on to the lead in the Superstock class after a spectacular exit and is in fifth place overall, ahead of the Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences bike, which is performing beautifully in the early stages of the race with Axel Maurin and Alan Techer aboard, and Team Traqueur Louit Moto 33’s Kawasaki.
