YART Yamaha Official EWC Team is currently the lone leader after a crash slowed down Team SRC Kawasaki. GMT94 Yamaha and Suzuki Endurance Racing Team are taking it in turns to chase following an eventful start to the race.

YART Yamaha Official EWC Team and Team SRC Kawasaki waged a duel for the lead for the first three hours of the race. Then Randy de Puniet crashed shortly after 6pm, leaving YART Yamaha Official EWC Team in sole command. Both riders broke the lap record several times in the early part of the race. Randy de Puniet has notched up the fastest lap so far: a 1’36.408.

GMT94 Yamaha and Suzuki Endurance Racing Team are striving to keep up the pace, and closing in on the leader, while F.C.C. TSR Honda is holding on to 5th place behind SRC Kawasaki.

Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences is in 6th place, confirming its credentials as the best Superstock team. The team is ahead of Tati Team Beaujolais Racing and Moto Ain CRT in class.

Some of the favourites had a rocky start. A transmission issue followed by an electronics problem relegated Honda Endurance Racing to the bottom of the rankings in the very early stages. Tecmas BMW is lagging far behind too as a result of a crash.
