After waging battle for nearly three hours at the 24 Heures Motos, GMT94 Yamaha and YART Yamaha are engaged in a suspenseful duel in the lead, ahead of F.C.C. TSR Honda France, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team and Tecmas BMW. Some of the other favourites experienced a rocky start.

The race got off to an eventful start on the Bugatti circuit. Randy de Puniet got the holeshot for Team SRC Kawasaki, then immediately got locked into a duel with Kenny Foray riding NRT48’s BMW. But during the very first hour of the fight, Mathieu Gines crashed out on the Kawasaki SRC and the BMW NRT48 developed electronics issues, causing both the race leaders to drop back.

A Yamaha duel between GMT94 and YART started up instead at the front, ahead of F.C.C. TSR Honda France, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, Tecmas BMW and Mercury Racing’s BMW.

Team April Moto Motors Events got off to a great start and is lapping in 7th place. The Suzuki #50 is ahead of the best Superstock, Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences. Junior Team Le Mans Sud Suzuki and Moto Ain currently round off the Top 3 in this class. Another favourite missing from the roll call despite a good position on the starting grid is Honda Endurance Racing, which has been delayed by an electronics problem.
