The official tests don’t start until tomorrow (Friday), but riders are already setting a cracking pace at the 2018 Suzuka 8 Hours. Yamaha Factory Racing Team, Kawasaki Team Green and Team HRC were the top performers at today’s supplementary tests.

The 2018-2019 FIM EWC will feature 42 full-season entries, with 12 countries represented. The influx of international competitors offers fresh and very encouraging proof that the FIM Endurance world championship is on an upward trajectory.
The German brand is relatively well represented at the Suzuka 8 Hours. Nine BMW teams will be on the grid in Japan on 29 July, including two European squads who are neck and neck in the FIM EWC provisional standings.
