FIM Endurance World Championship partner Webike Japan, the largest e-commerce website for motorcycle parts and accessories, handed out the very first Webike Pitstop Award comprising a cash prize of €10,000 to Moto Ain.
The factory Suzuki team have won their 16th FIM Endurance World Championship title. Suzuki Endurance Racing Team claimed the 2019-2020 crown in Portugal at the end of a very strange season.
Hanspeter Bolliger was awarded the Anthony Delhalle EWC Spirit Trophy at Estoril in recognition of his 38-year passion for endurance racing. The 12 Hours of Estoril – the 2019-2020 FIM EWC season finale – was the final race at the helm for the founder and manager of Bolliger Team Switzerland.
After the Bol d’Or and the 24 Heures Motos, Wójcik Racing Team won the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy and a podium finish at the 12 Hours of Estoril. The Polish team claimed the €4,000 purse awarded to the winner of the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy ahead of Team Aviobike and Wójcik Racing Team 2.
YART Yamaha won the 12 Hours of Estoril, the thrilling season finale of the FIM Endurance World Championship, ahead of F.C.C. TSR Honda France and Wójcik Racing Team. Suzuki Endurance Racing Team finished at the foot of the podium in Portugal and claimed the 2019-2020 FIM EWC crown.
The awarding of bonus points to the 10 teams in the lead in either class 8 hours into the race led to some tightly-fought tussles. YART Yamaha made a clean sweep, but Suzuki Endurance Racing Team are holding on for the title.
YART Yamaha are in the lead two hours into the 12 Hours of Estoril, ahead of F.C.C. TSR Honda France, Webike SRC Kawasaki France Trickstar and Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, provisional standings leader.
