Vincent Philippe, a Suzuki Endurance Racing Team rider since 2003, recently raced and won his last-ever Bol d’Or. We spoke to the champion who has notched up 10 world titles with the factory Suzuki team.
The EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy winner Wójcik Racing Team also took a podium finish at the Bol d’Or. The Polish team managed to turn the rain-affected and eventful race to their advantage. They received the €7,000 prize awarded to the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy winner, coming in ahead of Omega Maco Racing Team and Tati Team Beaujolais Racing.
Suzuki Endurance Racing Team tasted victory once again, crossing the finish line of the Bol d’Or one lap ahead of the Yamaha-mounted Polish squad Wójcik Racing Team and Germany’s BMW-mounted Team ERC Endurance. Moto Ain took the Superstock win at the end of an action-packed race.
Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, who were lapping in second place when the first set of intermediary-stage points were handed out, have earned 10 extra points by being in the lead at 10.30am. Moto Ain, the Superstock leader at both of the intermediary stages, have already pocketed 20 points in this year’s Bol d’Or.
