Suzuki Endurance Racing Team’s new trio of riders has just wrapped up winter testing in Spain. Xavier Simeon has joined Gregg Black and Etienne Masson in the factory-backed French team’s new line-up for 2020.
The prominent Japanese champion Tetsuya Harada is girding up for his maiden Suzuka 8 Hours. The former 250cc world champion has been named team manager of Zaif NCXX Racing, a Japanese squad with a good shot at the Superstock win.
As of 1 January 2020, the use of helmets approved to FIM homologation standards is mandatory in all FIM Endurance World Championship and Endurance World Cup races. A homologated helmet is identified by the FIM FRHPhe (FIM Racing Homologation Programme) label. The use of these helmets will be mandatory at the next round of the FIM EWC: the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans on 18 and 19 April.
Wójcik Racing Team have scaled up their ambitions after turning heads at the 2019 Bol d’Or. Broc Parkes, a YART Yamaha mainstay since 2013, will ride for the Polish team at the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans on 18 and 19 April.
The 43rd edition of the 24 Heures Motos has been launched. 57 teams are expected at Le Mans on 18 and 19 April 2020 for the 3rd round of the FIM Endurance World Championship. The race kicks off the second half of the season, and will prove decisive for the 2019-2020 world title.
VRD Igol Pierret Experiences have recruited yet another world champion. After a first foray into endurance racing at Le Mans last year, Nico Terol has now joined the French team. The Spanish racer will be the back-up rider for the team, who finished 5th at the 2019 Bol d’Or.
