The German rider was responding to a post by YART – Yamaha Official Team EWC featuring an image of two bikes with serious EWC pedigree.

As well as the Yamaha YZF-R1 (RN49) that won the 8 Hours of Slovakia and the 8 Hours of Sepang in 2019, the YZF-R1 (RN65) that took victory in the 12 Hours of Estoril in 2020 was on display at YART’s Austria base.

Fritz, who was part of the YART – Yamaha Official Team EWC line-up that finished second in last season’s 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans, posted: “We can’t wait to start the new season”.

The 46th 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans marks round one of the 2023 EWC season from 13-16 April.
