Stoll, who was 27 and from the Alsace region of France, was a regular competitor in the EWC and was part of the #32 École de la Performance Endurance line-up for next month’s 24 Heures Motos.

The EWC community has been paying tribute to Stoll, while also sending messages of condolence to his family, friends and the École de la Performance Endurance team.

A post from Team 33 Louit April Moto, for whom Stoll ride during the 2021 24 Heures Motos, read: “Thoughts to his loved ones and family. Forever in our hearts Clément”.

Stoll’s friend, the Maco Racing Team rider Enzo Boulom, wrote: “It has been 13 years now we have known each other, 13 years of unforgettable memories. Racing fights during our French Superbike Championship debut, to the Endurance World Championship. What a journey, I’m proud to have been your friend and also have you as a friend. A great guy and a talented rider, with a little Alsacian accent which brought joy to the paddock. Courage to his entourage, especially to his dad and mom who have always given Clément the means to realise his dream”.

Energie Endurance posted: “The Endurance world is sad tonight. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Clément Stoll. Clément was a friend, always smiling. For this new season, he had even discussed with us before joining his new team. We will keep his smile and singing accent in memory of him and this memorable evening shared after the Bol d’Or in 2018”.
