JMA Racing Action Bike has recruited Greg Oritz to complete its line-up for next month’s Bol d’Or, the deciding round of the 2023 FIM Endurance World Championship.
The Frenchman returns to the EWC to join Italy’s Matteo Giacomazzo and Japanese Takeshi Ishizuka in JMA’s #34 Suzuki in the Dunlop Superstock Trophy attack.
He replaces Julien Bonnet, who switches to Team Metiss for the third and final 24-hour race of the EWC season. Christophe Thion, also from France, continues in his fourth rider role.
“It is with great pleasure that I join JMA Racing Action Bike,” said Oritz. “The proposal of [JMA head] Jean-Marc Adam made it impossible not to accept the human and sporting challenge.
“It's both a chance and a real challenge for me. There is a lot of training to return to a correct level worthy of a world rider and I’ll do my best not to disappoint people.
“I thank my sponsors who responded immediately to my calls and give me their trust again. Thanks to JMA Racing for believing in me.”
The 86th Bol d’Or takes place at Circuit Paul Ricard from 14-17 September.
