TATI TEAM BEAUJOLAIS RACING WINS EWC DUNLOP INDEPENDENT TROPHY
Tati Team Beaujolais Racing won the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy at the 12 Horas de Portimão, beating Völpker NRT48 Schubert Motors and AM Moto Racing Compétition. The win netted the team €10,000 of prize money.
Portugal was triply satisfying for Tati Team Beaujolais Racing. With riders Julien Enjolras, Dylan Buisson and Hugo Clere in the saddle of its Kawasaki ZX-10R, the French independent team managed a superb 6th place at the 12 Horas de Portimão, topped the Superstock class and, most importantly, picked up the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy at the Portuguese round of the FIM EWC championship. Their win netted the team €10,000 worth of prize money.
Another prize-winner at Le Mans earlier this season, German team Völpker NRT48 Schubert Motors riding a BMW S1000RR, was the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy runner-up. Riders Bastien Mackels, Dominik Vincon and Stefan Kerschbaumer crossed the finish line on the heels of Tati Team Beaujolais Racing. AM Moto Racing Compétition, the winner of the first EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy at Le Mans, finished third at Portimão. Jonathan Goetschy, Jimmy Maccio and Kevin Denis were in the saddle of the team’s Kawasaki ZX-10R.
Launched this season by Eurosport Events, the local promoters of each FIM EWC race and tyre manufacturer Dunlop, the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy provides backing for independent teams running Dunlop tyres who lack direct support from a manufacturer.
