Yamaha Factory Racing Team and Kawasaki Team Green have already locked horns. The two teams were neck and neck at the supplementary tests organized for the benefit of all teams competing in the 41st Suzuka 8 Hours. With a 2:07.213 lap for the Yamaha #21 and a 2:07.227 for the Kawasaki #11, the two factory squads dominated today’s test sessions.
Team HRC set the third-fastest time, a 2:08.155, ahead of two other Honda squads, Musashi RT Harc-Pro Honda (2:08.379) and Teluru.MotoUp RT (2:08.515) and Yoshimura Suzuki Motul Racing (2:08.559). Following a free practice session at Suzuka tomorrow morning, both qualifying sessions will be held later in the day, ahead of the Top 10 Trial – the superpole for the 10 best teams in qualifying – on Saturday.
