The young Oschersleben-based German squad has quietly but confidently positioned itself as one of the top Superstock teams. Völpker NRT 48 & Penz.13 by Schubert Motors has got itself the best place of the category on the Bol d’Or starting grid.

After two seasons in the Superstock class, having made an impressive debut with 10th place in the 2013 Endurance World Cup, Völpker NRT 48 & Penz.13 by Schubert Motors have decided to move up a gear. For 2015, Ingo Nowazcyk’s team recruited a new trio of riders who compete in Germany’s IDM championship to take its BMW S1000RR to the top of the classification. Austrian rider Marco Nekvasil was Superstock 1000 champion in 2014. German rider Dominik Vincon finished third in that same championship, while Austrian Stefan Kerschbaumer was in third position on the podium after the 2014 Supersport. These fast, competitive riders got themselves noticed at Oschersleben as the first Superstock team on the starting grid. Their luck hasn’t held so far, but Ingo Nowazcyk seems very confident about the Bol d’Or, and is targeting a first Superstock win on the Paul Ricard circuit.

Result at 3pm on Sunday.
